When I first painted this image, it was one of my smaller pieces: only 11” x 14". After buying two 11” x 14” original oil paintings, an art patron from Naples, Florida, asked me to, "paint the Sea Oats” for her, but larger.

I did. The finished painting is 28” x 22”.

It turned out great. So, I named the painting after her. Thanks Loralee. —Larry Smith
