Wednesday morning class:
Wednesday, September 1, 2010. 9am until Noon. 8 weeks. 24 hours of instruction. (Limited to 10 students).
Wednesday evening class:
Wednesday, September 1, 2010. 6pm until 9pm. 8 weeks. 24 hours of instruction. (Limited to 10 students).
Overview:
Have fun learning oil painting techniques as you paint. Emphasis is placed on color relationships and painting skills. Learning while doing. And did I mention fun?
Who should attend? For adults and teens. Students at the beginning or intermediate level. Classes are self-paced.
Where do the classes meet? Larry and Pam’s studio/gallery. 3372 Pigeon Hawk Court, Norcross, GA 30092.
How many classes are offered? Two classes. One morning and one evening class. Each class meets 8 times. A make-up class is also offered. Classes are 3-hours each. (24-hours of classroom instruction).
What is the cost? Class fees are $10 an hour. $240 per class. Materials are extra. (About $60 to $110). (Call or e-mail for material's list. 404.314.3669).
Who is the instructor? The class is taught by Larry and Pam Smith.
When do classes start? Both classes begin Wednesday, September 1, 2010. Class ends October 27, 2010.
When are future classes offered?
I may offer a weekend seminar for those who are coming from out of town and those who prefer a concetrated time. Stay tuned. Please let me know if you would be interested in attending. Probably a Friday Saturday. 8 hours each day.
What will I have after I finish the class? A working knowledge of colors. 3-6 finished oil paintings. A hunger to paint more. Used tubes of paint. Some used brushes. Clothes with paint on them. And more.
My students have had great success showing their work. One sold 11 paintings at a local art Festival. One sold a painting on Ebay (Enought o pay for the class.) Another has launched her own website and is now doing outdoor art festivals and commissioned portraits for people all over the country.
